Advertising and affiliate disclosure
fishspecies.nz is free to use and funded by advertising and sponsorship. Advertisers and sponsors don't decide what we write, and we label paid placements clearly.
Advertising
Each page has one advertising space. It shows either a Google AdSense ad or a sponsor, labelled “Advertisement” or “Presented by”. Google may use cookies to show ads; see our privacy page.
Sponsors
A sponsor may pay to appear in the labelled space on a page. Sponsors don’t review, edit or approve our content, and a sponsorship never changes what we write. We don’t sell sponsorship on our boat insurance or boat loan pages to insurers, lenders or brokers.
Affiliate and referral links
We don’t use affiliate links yet. If we add them, for example on gear guides, we’ll say so on the page where they appear, and update this page. Earning a commission will never decide which products we include.
Comparison pages
Where we compare products or services, such as boat insurance, we describe them factually and date the information. These pages are general information, not financial advice.
